March3/4/2020 Camps
We have some great camps coming up! Our next one day camp is March 20th from 9 to 3pm for ages 6-15 Sign up before all the spots are filled by speaking with Kayla or Sara. 4-H meeting on March 7th at 11am We have Dr. Kim Josey coming to do an equine chiropractic talk and demonstration. Feel free to come watch even if you are not in 4-H! If there is time we will also be identifying the parts of an english saddle. Start studying now! Tie and Bun meeting March 8th at 4pm If you are planning on showing this year please try to attend our clinic on show buns and how to tie a tie. We will have plenty of hair pins, hair nets and hair bands ready for you to practice on each other or yourself. Don't forget about attending the Clemson show as spectators! We will meet at the barn on Saturday March 14th at 7am to head to Clemson. We will spend the day at the show then return home late Saturday night. We can carpool or simply follow each other down. Chad will be staying home to take care of the horses. 33rd Annual ASAC SPRING CLASSIC HORSE SHOW March 12-14, 2020 T Ed Garrison Arena Pendleton, SC T-Shirts We are offering Foxwood tees! They will be grey unisex or child size tees. $16 each (that's our cost). There are order forms in the barn. They are absolutely not required however we would love to have those that are attending horse shows to cheer or show have a tee. :-) Horse Shows Please let Kayla or Sara know which show dates you plan on attending by this weekend so that we can get our shipper and clipper booked for the correct dates and horses. For a list of dates please go here: https://www.foxwoodequestriancenter.com/horse-shows.html Hay Update As many of you know the region is out of Fescue hay until probably May when the next harvest occurs. I am happy to say that the horses all switched over to the Teff hay and seem to enjoy it. As soon as Fescue becomes reliably available we will start the switch back. I plan to use Teff in the off season for the future and of course will keep you all updated on any hay changes. Google reviews If you have a moment we would love to get some google reviews in order to help us pop up higher on searches. https://tinyurl.com/ttd74tf Thank you all for making Foxwood the wonderful place it is! We wouldn't be having so much fun without all of our riders, boarders, instructor and 4-H club! -Sara
